TESTIMONIALS

Meeting and studying the Yogic Arts with Juliana has been a blessing beyond compare. I have taken her 'softest' Restorative classes as well as her 'hardest' Ashtanga Vinyasa classes and I can truly say there is no difference-the Light of Yoga always shines through. Just as impressive as Juliana's ability to present a complete practice to different skill levels using a blend of asana, pranayama and chanting is her concerned friendliness as it combines with non-judgmental observation and gentle yet firm correction as she shows us the way towards the Light within.

My personal journey began with Juliana over 10 years ago went I took a yoga class at the Coral Springs Museum of Art. It was truly an enchanting experience. But after a car accident I developed a chronic pain condition called RSD/CPRS (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) / (Complex Reginal Pain Syndrome) that affected my nervous system, causing stiffness, spasms and pain. My journey with yoga changed as Juliana encouraged me to listen to my body and follow its desire to move more slowly with focus on breath work and isolated stretching. It takes a lot of patience and she has never wavered in her dedication to being consistent with positive reinforcement. Never judging or pushing just guiding and always supporting spiritual growth and body awareness. She is a true teacher of the mind body connection and my time with her is something I cherish as I continue on my path to wellness.

Anyone can benefit from a yoga class with Juliana she is truly a learned soul. Each day we are all students of life and learning along the way.

I have had the privilege and pleasure of working with Juliana as she teaches and shares her vast knowledge of the practice of yoga. I have found yoga to be relaxing, energizing and strengthening all at the same time. It has helped bring balance to my life and continues to have a calming effect on both mind and body. I’ve had many neck and back problems and last year had major spinal surgery including a multi level fusion. I had to put my weekly yoga class on hold. Emotional well being is essential to any recovery and my work with Juliana helped me stay as relaxed and calm as possible. The relaxation techniques that Juliana taught me helped to ease the pain and aided in my rehabilitation process. I kept remembering her words. “take a breath in, now exhale very slowly”. I practiced those exercises many times every day to help endure the pain. I missed Juliana and my class and am thrilled to be back continuing my spiritual journey with her. Juliana is a beautiful person,so kind, patient and caring. I am blessed to work with her each week and thank her for all her hard work and effort to help me stay as strong , flexible and pain free as possible.

Juliana is a blessing in my life, she truly feeds my soul. She has been my teacher for many years, and through this time, my practice has changed dramatically. I know now that you get from your practice what you are ready for, in body and soul. When I took my first class at the suggestion of a friend, I was just interested in yoga for exercise. I liked it, and continued the practice mostly once a week. I knew that it made me feel wonderful, and that was what I needed from it then.

Two years ago I had a problem with my feet. My doctor told me to completely stop all working out, especially yoga since he wanted my muscles to rest. Through that time, it was horrible; I missed Juliana and my practice terribly. A year later, I had a problem with my knee, and needed surgery, further putting off my return to my practice. It was a difficult time to say the least. On the day I was told I could return, I was happy of course, but was totally elated when I ran into Juliana in the store. I was so happy to see her, I told her I could come back, and I returned to my classes.

Since then, I have increased my practice with her to several group classes a week, and one private session. The private session is something that just cannot be described; Juliana is teaching me with her unique gift of patience and understanding. She always knows exactly what her pupil is ready for, and never pushes. She takes my injuries to mind, and always is protective of my medical issues.

I feel centered with Juliana in my life, I am growing and understanding more each time we practice, just being near her and listening to her gives you a feeling unlike any other teacher I have experienced. As I said, I feel you get from your practice what you are ready for, and my growth with Juliana is something that continues to blossom; I cannot imagine my life without her.

Dear Juliana,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and guidance with my yoga training over the past seven years. As you know, I have a severe case of scoliosis and through my continued yoga practice at home and with you, I have changed from having chronic back pain to only occasional discomfort. I treat yoga as a lifetime commitment and am so grateful for not only the physical changes it has brought about but the many emotional adjustments it has also created. I look forward to working side by side with you for many years to come.

I'm most grateful.

Yours,
Fran Moyers

I never could have imagined that taking my daughter to a yoga class at the age of 17 would have such a great impact on my own life.

When I came to live in Florida it was quite an adjustment from the life that I used to have in Venezuela. I started taking my daughters yoga classes and learning how to, as is now so common to hear, “breathe in and breathe out.” Believe it or not it really works; it not only brings you to the present moment, but it calms your mind, becouse of the concentration required, your daily troubles, both large and small, seem to melt away during the time you are practicing yoga. After a few years of being here, my husband Dario, Juliana’s father was diagnosed with bone cancer, and if it had not been for her classes and peaceful ways I don’t know how I could have managed. God works in mysterious ways. First he led me to take Juliana to her first yoga class and then He brought me to the States so that she would be my guide to show me the way to understand and live the years I had to live with my husband’s illness. I cannot thank my daughter enough for all the help and support she’s giving me and continues to do till this day.

With love,

Mom

I have been practicing yoga with Juliana for 12 years and my experience has been amazing from my very first class I recognized something extremely special in her and for myself.

Yoga has changed my life for the better in so many ways besides gaining strength, balance and a calmness to my mind, body and spirit and enriching my heart, my soul and my mind and being able to learn to stay present in the moment she has giving me the ability thru her guidance and vast knowledge to achieve so much for my life, With her love and spirituality, compassion and patience I have become more loving spiritual and more compassionate and patient ,striving to reach inner peace and enlightenment, and I am so very grateful to her and her family for allowing me to be a part of her life and will remain a student of hers forever.

All of my love,
Wendi Tepper

I have been practicing yoga with Juliana for ten years. I originally started looking into yoga as a form of exercise but what I found completely changed my life.

I was lucky enough to stumble onto Juliana's Tuesday morning level one yoga class located in the Coral Springs Art Museum. Juliana immediately made me feel welcome. She explained all the postures so well that I didn't feel left out or out of place. I slowly learned about pranayama, the beginning asanas and mindfulness which was a true revelation for me. So much so, that I decided to change my career.

I had been in the real estate field for many years and I was feeling stressed and burnt out. I had been thinking about a career change but was too scared to act on it. I finally decided to try something new and completely change fields. I would never have had the courage to make this life changing decision if I had not been practicing yoga with Juliana. I am not a person welcomes change but Juliana made me see that the courage to take this huge step was within me if I would just be mindful enough to pay attention my true wants and needs.

Having lost a large amount of weight in the past I had always wanted to help others lose weight as I had done. I decided to get a job in the fitness industry and help people reach their weight loss goals. I got a job in a local gym and I have wonderful new career helping others improve their lives. Now I am happy in my work, I have made new friends and I have improved my body, mind and spirit.

Juliana is not only my yoga teacher; she is my spiritual mentor and my beloved friend. She has introduced me to inspirational books, magazines and music. She has taught me to take my yoga practice off the mat and bring it to my every day life. I am a happier and more patient person with a whole new career. Yes, practicing yoga with Juliana has changed my life in many ways and I am very lucky to have found her.
